Overview:

The Institute is envisaged to undertake research and provide training for the benefit of students, teachers and researchers in the area of bioinformatics and computational biology. It is carrying out research in areas such as structural bioinformatics, network and systems biology, molecular interaction networks comparative genomics, genome annotation, computational evolutionary biology, analysis of mutation in cancer and neurodegenerative diseases, software and tools development.

Objectives:

• Institute is aimed in bringing out excellence in research in Bioinformatics.
• In addition to conducting research, the Institute is also engaged in imparting training to students, teachers, researchers and professionals in the area of Bioinformatics.
