• Doctorate in Tourism (Ph.D.)

From session 2011-12 onwards ITS is offering Ph.D. in Tourism. This year the following topics have been approved for research:

1. Strategic restructuring of airport services: A study on gender perspective
2. Foreign tourists’ motivation, perception and satisfaction in spiritual tourism at Haridwar region.
3. Customer satisfaction Vs expectation: A study on outbound tourists from Lucknow.
4. Socio-cultural impacts of tourism in Agra region.
5. Lucknow’s tourism in transition: A stakeholders’ perspective.

• Master of Tourism and Travel Administration (MTTM)

Master of Tourism and Travel Administration (MTTM) is a two-year (4 Semester) full time job-oriented programme, which provides a comprehensive understanding of tourism and travel industry.

Objective of this course is to develop professionally trained manpower for the tourism industry and allied industries like cargo. The career is dynamic, vibrant, growth oriented with a lot of potential.

• BACHELOR OF BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION (Tourism)

Bachelor of Tourism Administration (BTA) is a professional job oriented 3-year (6-semester) full time Bachelors Degree in Tourism Administration.

This course is designed to provide the 10+2 passed out students with an in-depth knowledge of tourism administration at the bachelors degree level itself, to fulfill the ever-growing demand of trained manpower in the tourism industry.

• TRAVEL and TOURISM MANAGEMENT (TTM): A Subject choice in BA

        T.T.M. is offered as one of the subjects at undergraduate level. It is a job-oriented course designed for those who are seeking a career in travel industry. It also provides them a strong foundation for pursuing higher studies in tourism management.

IN THE PIPELINE

The following programmes have been designed purely in accordance to the demands of the Industry:

• Master of Tourism,Travel and Event Management (MTTMEM)

The event industry is at a nascent yet blooming industry in India. In the recent years India has been host to a number of national and international events like Banglore Air Show, Defense Expo, Auto Expo, Commonwealth Games, Indian Premier League (IPL), Khajuraho Dance Festival and other well known reality shows. Organizing such events today require professionals to handle them in a scientific manner for their success. The event sector is a fast growing market in India and with this in mind the ITS has proposed to introduced a post graduate programme named MTTMEM, which aims to provide trained professionals. This course has also been recognized by the Ministry of Tourism, Govt. of India for which they have given financial assistance to develop the programme.

• BACHELOR OF HOTEL MANAGEMENT (BHM)

BHM is an under graduate programme designed for giving industry ready freshers to the hospitality sector. This programme has been especially recommended by the Ministry of Tourism, Govt. of India keeping in view that the fast growing hotel industry is still short well trained professionals.

• DIPLOMA IN INTERNATIONAL AIRLINES TICKETING & CRS

This is a one-year job oriented programme that aims at providing the market with professionals who are trained to deal with CRS like Amadeus, Galileo, Abacus and Worldspan.

• DIPLOMA IN FOOD PRODUCTION (DFP)

A course designed to enhance employability amongst the youngsters in the hotel industry especially in the food & beverage/ banquet department, a course which is also privileged with financial assistance by the Ministry of Tourism, Govt. of India. This is one year diploma programme with exhaustive practical session by trained and renowned experts. Well developed modern kitchen is available at ITS with complete cooking, baking and serving for all kind of cuisines.
