The Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences (IPS), established in 2021, under the Faculty of Engineering and Technology at the University of Lucknow—a prestigious university accredited with NAAC A++ grade and recognized for its significant standing in global university rankings. The institute is duly approved by the Pharmacy Council of India, New Delhi. The new building of the institute was inaugurated by Her Highness Governor of U.P. and Chancellor of University Hon’ble Smt. Anandiben Patel, in year 2023. The institute has MOU with international & national excellency centres such as University of Maderia, Portugal, CSIR-CDRI, CSIR-CIMAP Lucknow, CBMR & Lifecare Innovations Private ltd.

Mission: The mission of the institute is to provoke an innovation-oriented, inter-disciplinary, multi-faceted, and goal- driven research and ascertain the persistent flow of self-motivated, self-reliant, socially sensitive, and employable young pharmacy professionals to meet the needs and goals of industry, academia and research institute.

The institute currently offers D. Pharm., B. Pharm., M. Pharm. (Pharmaceutics & Pharmacology) and MBA (Pharmaceutical Management) Program.

Admission: The admission to above courses will be through Luckow University Centralized Admission System.

MBA (Pharmaceutical Management): 
As per the demand of current pharmaceutical sector, and strengthening its multidisciplinary vision, the institute is launching an MBA in Pharmaceutical Management with an intake of 60 seats from the academic session 2026–27. This flagship program uniquely integrates pharmaceutical sciences with modern business and management principles, fostering leadership, strategic thinking, and entrepreneurial capabilities tailored to the global healthcare and as desired by Pharma Sector. The program has been meticulously designed with experts from academics, IIIM’s, CSIR-CDRI and pharmaceutical industries.
With these progressive additions, the institute reinforces its commitment to academic excellence, innovation, and professional development, positioning itself as a distinguished hub for nurturing future-ready leaders in pharmaceutical sciences and healthcare management.

Faculty Strength and Academic Excellence:
The Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences prides itself on a diverse, experienced, and research-oriented faculty body, led by Prof. (Dr.) Pushpendra Kumar Tripathi, Founder Director of the institute. Dr. Tripathi holds a Ph.D., M.Pharm., and B.Pharm. from the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Dr. Harisingh Gour Central University, and is a recipient of prestigious fellowships from UGC, CSIR, and GATE. With over 20 years of rich academic and research experience, he is a distinguished pharmaceutical scientist known for his pioneering contributions in nano-formulation and targeted drug delivery.
